They say that once you do something twice it becomes a tradition. With that in mind, KWA has established a new tradition – celebrating our company Christmas party at Dave & Buster’s. For the second consecutive year, we ate, drank and were merry as a team at the restaurant and arcade. During the celebration, we took a few minutes to also celebrate our KWA Core Award winners for the fall. Core Awards are given to employees who exemplify the Core Values of KWA Construction: Integrity, Excellence, Empowerment, Teamwork, Quality Relationships, Personal Development and Economic Security. The award is given semiannually and recipients of the award are chosen from peer nominations. It is always an honor to celebrate the recipients of the Core Award and this round was no different as we celebrated two standout employees, Shawn and Victor.

Shawn, currently serving on The Millennium in McKinney site in McKinney, Texas, understands how incredibly special this award is. “I am truly humbled and honored to be nominated among my peers for the KWA Core Award. It means a lot to know that your hard work is noticed, even when most people don’t see it (firsthand).” With assistant superintendents like Shawn on our team, the future of KWA is bright.

Victor is also currently serving on The Millennium in McKinney site in McKinney, Texas. For Victor, this award is motivation to keep doing what he has already been doing. “Winning the Core Award was a surprise. It has been a pleasure working here at KWA, and it’s nice to be recognized by coworkers. We will continue to work hard and represent KWA with all the Core Values.”
